She’s Got It – And This Is Just the Beginning
Among the many young artists trying to break into the music scene, every so often one stands out — someone who makes you pause and listen. Lihi Cohen, just 18 years old, is one of them. With a voice that’s both mature and deeply emotional, and a rare ability to connect with her audience, she’s already turning heads — and not just among her peers.
Early Childhood
Lihi Cohen’s musical journey began at the age of 8, when she first learned piano and recorder through her elementary school’s music program. At age 9, she joined the “Playing School” program led by the Hof HaSharon Conservatory, studying clarinet for two years. During this time, she also sang in the Hovav School Choir for four years. Alongside her classical training, she began learning both classical and electric guitar — instruments she continues to master today.
Early Career
As a teenager, Lihi immersed herself in music studies at Hof HaSharon’s middle and high school programs, specializing in music theory, harmony, composition, and ensemble performance. She composed original music for two student operettas and performed in a lead role in the most recent production, “Background Noise.”
Outside of school, Lihi began writing and recording her own songs. She released two original singles on Apple Musicand Spotify, which received excellent reviews for their emotional depth and vocal performance. In addition to her studio work, Lihi performs regularly with her band in local venues and pubs, building a loyal audience and developing her stage presence as a dynamic live artist.
Accomplishments
Lihi’s dedication and talent have not gone unnoticed. She was recently awarded a prestigious scholarship to Rimon School of Music, one of Israel’s leading contemporary music institutions. This recognition highlights her outstanding potential as a singer, songwriter, and performer with a bright future ahead.
